This refers to the gospel of salvation that Paul preached.

2. “The Mystery of Christ”
This is the **secret program** that God kept hidden until He revealed it through Paul.

What Was Kept Secret:

The Mystery of Christ involves:

• The dispensation of Gentile grace – a brand new program where God suspended Israel’s prophetic program
• The formation of the church, the body of Christ – made up of Jews and Gentiles on the exact same level without distinction
• The breaking down of the middle wall of partition between Jew and Gentile
• A new creation** that would exist in the heavenly places

Why It Was Kept Secret:

According to 1 Corinthians 2:6-8, God kept this mystery secret from “the princes of this world” (Satan and his principalities and powers) because:

“Had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”

God’s strategic wisdom was to keep Satan in the dark so he would go ahead and crucify Christ, which would actually:

• Seal Satan’s complete doom
• Allow God to take Satan “in their own craftiness”
• Triumph over the principalities and powers through the cross
• Make possible both the release of Jacob (Israel) AND the Gentiles from Satan’s grip

The Result:

Through Christ’s crucifixion, God could form **”one new man”** – the church, the body of Christ – reconciling not just the earth back to Himself through Israel (the manifest program), but also **reconciling the heavenly places** through this new creation.

This mystery was “hidden in God before the foundation of the world” but revealed through Paul’s ministry in this current dispensation of grace.
