Paul’s ‘prison epistles’ vs ‘Acts epistles’?

Question

Do you see any division between Paul’s Acts epistles and his prison epistles? If so, what?

Response

My understanding is that all of Paul’s epistles are a doctrinal whole, providing for our complete “godly edifying” or sonship edification in this present dispensation. By the very order in which God has set them forth in His word to us they doctrinally progress us through the levels of our sonship edification; taking us from milk to meat; from establishment to a completed building; from a babe in Christ to a perfect man. My understanding is that there is a “division,” so to speak, in them between Romans through Galatians, and Ephesians through Colossians, and I & II Thessalonians, and then I Timothy through Philemon; but that this “division” is a doctrinal one and that this is in accordance with the issue of progressing through the levels or stages of our sonship edification.
