Introducing the

Daily Edification & Assurance Reader

A day-by-day walk through Paul's epistle to the Romans — on your phone, tablet, or computer

Romans is the epistle God gave to establish the believer. It is where doctrine for the Body of Christ begins, and it is meant to be worked through carefully rather than sampled. Daily Edification & Assurance is a reader that takes you through it one day at a time — a passage to read, a written teaching session for that passage, and an audio recording of the same session you can listen to instead, or alongside.

The study follows the four-cornerstone structure of Keith R. Blades' survey of Romans, with a preface that comes first. Nothing is skipped and nothing is rearranged.

What the reader covers

  • PrefaceSeven events in Acts that set the stage for Romans — and the completed Word that follows
  • 1stRomans 1–5
  • 2ndRomans 6–8
  • 3rdRomans 9–11
  • 4thRomans 12–16
The Preface and the 1st Cornerstone are complete and available now. The remaining cornerstones are being added session by session. If you have the reader, new material appears the next time you open it.

How it works

The reader opens in any web browser — phone, tablet, or computer. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for. It remembers where you left off, so the next time you open it you land on the day you were on. You can mark a day as finished, star the ones you want to return to, and read at whatever pace suits you.

It can also be added to your home screen, so it opens with a tap like any other app on your phone.

Reading and listening offline — optional

By default everything streams from the website, and you need a connection to listen. If you would rather have the material on hand, you can save it to your device instead — but this is entirely optional, and the reader works perfectly well without it.

Saving is done one cornerstone at a time, never all at once. Open a cornerstone, and a button at the top of the day list offers to save that section. It downloads every audio file that section contains — the Scripture passage recordings, the teaching sessions, and the Further Study recordings, along with any study sheets — and from then on that cornerstone opens and plays with no internet at all.

The button shows roughly how large the download will be before you start, so there are no surprises, and days already stored on your device are marked in the list. You can save one cornerstone and leave the rest streaming, and you can remove a saved section at any time to free up the space.

Cornerstones are large — a full section is a great many recordings. If you are on a phone plan with limited data, do the saving over wi‑fi.

Requesting access

The reader is not listed publicly. It is shared personally, by request, so that we know who is using it and can help if something doesn't work.

Send a short note and we will reply with the address of the reader and a few lines on how to get started.
