Question
What happened to the first set (after they were broken) and second set (the new ones intact) of stone tablets that Moses received? Was the second set transferred from Moses’ ark to God’s ark (I Kings 8:9)?

There are some things that have puzzled me in what Exodus 32 through 34 relate, on which I have not yet been able to settle my mind that I understand properly. However, I also have not given any real consideration to these matters in quite some time, so I have not been trying to figure them out and settle my mind on them as of yet. So at the present time I do not have a completely satisfactory answer on this. It’s possible that a transfer took place. But again, at the moment I just don’t know.
