Mathew Chapters 5 - 7 (outline)
Beattitudes
Lesson 33
V. The Sermon on the Mount (continued)
Formula for corrective doctrine and fundamental edification for the members of the remnant of Israel, Mat 5:17-19
Outline of Mathew Chapters 5 through 7
A) Mat 5:1-12; “Beattitudes,” reasons for happiness

“Beattitudes” have two fundamental parts:
1. designed to stabilize; to change their attitude Mat 5:3-6
2. designed to effectually work and provide for the remnant to make it through the days ahead and to endure, Mat 5:7-12
Lesson 34
V. The Sermon on the Mount (continued)

The Remnant's Conduct
Lesson 35
V. The Sermon on the Mount (continued)
B) Mat 5:13-20; exhorts remnant to conduct themselves consistent with God’s plan & purpose for Israel
The law is not correctly handled by Israel’s leaders, Mat 5:17-19
Israel didn’t heed the warning . Zechariah said and the vain religious system reestablished itself in Israel with a vigor and a vitality worse than when the fifth course of punishment began, Zec 7, 11
“The Reward Concept”: Mat 5:19-20 points out that a member of the remnant of Israel (justified unto eternal life) not able to enter into that kingdom right away. And when entered for the for them to be called the least in it, but it is also possible to enter in and be called great!
“Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:”
The doctrine of kings’ worthies; there’s many positions of worthies in the kingdom; ones like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob for example have some very special ones even though they don’t live through the fourth or fifth installment.
“She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.” Mat 20:20
There are two exalted positions of authority in the Kingdom (outside of the Lord’s own position); Mat 20:20-21
Lesson 36
V. The Sermon on the Mount (continued)
B) Mat 5:13-20; exhorts remnant to conduct themselves consistent with God’s plan & purpose for Israel

• “outer darkness” location identified, Mat 5:20
• “the engrafted word” Jam 1:21-25
C) Mat 5:21-7:12; exhorts remnant to no longer be followers if the vain, religious system

2. The show of piety & good works, Mat 6:1-18
3. Riches and personal possessions so they can make through the 5th Installment, Mat 6:19-34
4. Judging others righteously, Mat 7:1-5
5. Who not to give their message & doctrine to (dogs & swine), Mat 7:6
6. Exhorts them to avail themselves to the access of their heavenly Father, Mat 7:7-11
7. The “Golden Rule” Mat 7:12

“your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Mat 5:20
Formula for Correction:
• states the righteous commandment, then
• gives the vain religious interpertation & its practice , then
• gives the corrective doctrine, “But I say unto you,”
Category 1: Making the law honorable so they can be ‘doers of the law’, Mat 5:21-48
>Killing,
“whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, “ Mat 5:22

> Retaliation
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:” Mat 5:38-42
>Love Your Enemies
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.” Mat 5:43-48
Category 2: The show of piety & good works, Mat 6:1-18
Definition of “hypocrite”
> Giving to the needy
“Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them,” Mat 6:1-4
[There are legitimate acts of godliness, but before they can give alms God’s way, pray God’s way, fast God’s way and be therefore godly in so doing they need to think like God does, they need to have the right reason for doing it.
The third component of “godliness” doesn’t take place until the kingdom is established. When they rejected the issue of God’s Jehovah-ness and grace towards the end of the forth installment they put the adoption and the ability to labor with God in what he is doing on hold until the kingdom gets itself established.]
Lesson 41

Category 2: The show of piety & good works, Mat 6:1-18 (continued)
>”Lord’s Prayer”
2 components of ‘un-intelligent’ prayer
1. mindless vain repetition, set prayers, scripted prayers
2. having no recognition of what God is doing in his program
“Hallowed be thy name” Mat 6:9 It’s the sanctifying & hallowing of God’s name among the nations of the earth.
All of God’s program with the earth is under one heading,: ‘hallowing of his name’ Ezk 36:16-23

The issue that produces the fury of the 5th course of punishment was Israel not hallowing God’s name, Ezk 36:16-23
>”Lord’s Prayer” (continued)
2 components of intelligent prayer
1. communion with their heavenly Father as they commune with him in prayer about the ultimate objective of the program in where they are particularly in the climatic stage of the program with that objective in view.
2. communing with their Father about the exactitude of where they are in the program

>”Lord’s Prayer” (continued)
“Give us this day our daily bread. “ Mt 6:11
“And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.” Mat 6:12-13
> The fundamental issue of their judgment when it comes to rewards in that kingdom is the issue of them not conducting themselves like the vain religious system.
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Mat 6:14-15

“…but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? “ Mat 7:3-5
Introduction: Final 3 Categories (5, 6, and 7) are more instruction with respect to the climatic stage of the program being in view and the way in which these members of the remnant need to conduct themselves now in view of it.

Satanic Policy of Evil & Heed Corrective Doctrine
Lesson 47
V. The Sermon on the Mount (continued)
D) Mat 7:13-23; warning to heed the Satanic plan of evil aginst them
Mat 7: 13-14: First warning of admonition to these members of the remnant so they will not be misled or become doubtful in view of the almost complete lack of popularity in Israel with respect to the gospel of the kingdom.
Mat 7:15-23: Second warning concerns the highly insidious and extremely beguiling tactics of the satanic policy of evil against them.
E) Mat 7:24-27; warning to heed all the corrective doctrine
Mat 7:24-27; Third warning concerns the importance of these members of the remnant heeding all the exposure of the vain religious system that he has set forth before them and heeding all the corrective doctrine that he has given to them right from the beginning to this very point and as he describes when he gives them that word of warning with respect to heeding it all it all has to do with the issue of them being in that kingdom and the rewards issue in that kingdom and that’s really more of a repetition of what he started off with back there in chapter 5 as we will see once again when we get to it.
>The beginning of the ‘doctrine of the remnant’
There will be a remnant within the remnant that stands fast throughout that time and is rewarded with positions of greatness and rank in the kingdom.
>There’s at least four particular locations of the remnant, Zec 13:7-14
1. Jerusalem
2. Outside the land
3. Asia minor
4. Babylon
Lesson 48
Remaining words of caution and warning that the Lord gives in this Sermon on the Mount which he’s setting forth the fundamental doctrines for the remnant that they need to operate upon so they can completely disassociate themselves from the vain religious system that operates in Israel.
The satanic policy of evil is going to be able to operate in the climatic stage of God’s program with Israel. It will commence in the latter part of the fourth installment with the extension of mercy and forbearance, but it will reach its zenith, its height of operation, its greatest strength and therefore its greatest deceptions, seductions and the like out there in that fifth and final installment.
>The policy of evil that’ll be in operation the fifth and final installment
1. warns about the reality of the false prophets , Mat 7:15
2. gives the criterion for judgment which is the doctrine that comes out of their mouth, Mat 7:20
>Comparison made to our criterion for judgment in the Dispensation of Grace in which we live
> Criterion to identity false doctrine, Deu 13:1-5
>The beginning of the spirit of antichrist movement, Mat 24:5
>Paul says about the operation of the policy of evil after this dispensation of grace is over
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with ALL power and signs and lying wonders,” II The 2:8-10
>The remnant is Asia Minor
“…thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not,” Rev 2:1-2
